Ramsey
Deal
I design and build websites, software, and digital businesses where design and engineering have to work together.
Hi, I'm Ramsey. Since 2017 I've run Upforge, a premium web and app development and AI agency in the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area, and built Sonor, the AI platform that keeps every site we ship measured and improving long after launch.

01 What I build
Two things, built to last
Every engagement has two sides: bringing customers in the door, and smoothing what happens after they arrive. On the way in, that usually means growing a site from eight pages to eighty and making every one of them findable. After, it means putting time back in your pocket, and your employees' pockets too.
Upforge
The studio
High-performance websites, custom web apps, and AI automation for businesses that care how things are built. Premium work, small team, no hand-offs.
Work with UpforgeSonor
The platform
Analytics, SEO, CRM, and an AI layer that watches every site we launch and keeps it improving long after day one. Built in-house because nothing off the shelf was good enough. Today it powers Upforge; the product era comes next.
sonor.ioWe ate three thousand hours of development time building Sonor so every client project starts weeks ahead. There's not an agency out there that can compete with us on performance for the price.
02 Selected work
The thinking, not just the site

“Working with Upforge has had an immediate and noticeable impact in our business. This has been one of the smartest investments we made since opening our bar 18 months ago. The professionalism, commitment and fast delivery make working with Ramsey a pleasure and I look forward to continuing to expand our reach with Upforge's incredible service”
“From video and photography to redesigning our website, their team nailed it. Our new site is clean, modern, and easy to navigate, and it perfectly captures the experience of cruising on the Ohio River. Ramsey and the crew were organized, creative, and easy to work with every step of the way.”
“I've run about twenty grand of client work through Upforge this year across several of my clients. Every project came back better than I pictured it. I'd put my name behind these guys on anything.”
True Power Systems · Queen City Riverboats · Manhattan Harbour · Gunning Homes · Gilson's · Executive Awards · AREA · 4M Lawn Care
In eight years, we've never transferred out a domain. I think that says a lot.
03 How I work
A few things I believe
The best clients come in knowing one thing: they could be doing more digitally. They bring the outcomes they want; we bring the how. We've done this more than 150 times in eight years. Let us cook. And no, we won't build it on WordPress.
Details are the product
Premium isn't a look, it's a standard. Type, spacing, speed, copy: everything gets the same care.
Own the whole stack
Design, code, infrastructure, and AI under one roof. When one team can see the whole system, nothing falls through the cracks.
Launch is the starting line
A website isn't done when it ships. Everything I build is measured, monitored, and improved for as long as it's live.
Emotion closes, not price
Years in sales taught me what actually sells. We never pitch a discount; we solve a problem, and walk a stranger from first click to submitted form like a guided tour.
04 About
The long way home
I grew up taking things apart to see how they worked, and I never really stopped. These days the things are businesses: how they win attention, how they turn it into revenue, and how good software quietly compounds both. It took a few detours to get here.
Born to Jon and Laura Deal. I grew up on Legos, sports, and a family PC with a dial-up connection I mostly used to mod video games: my first taste of changing how something works instead of just using it. My parents split when I was ten, and I got an early education in figuring things out for myself.

Thirty-five hours a week landscaping and making sandwiches, with football practice in between. I spent my GPA on everything except homework. Work ethic was never the problem; sitting still was.
With my GPA, college was out. The Navy's nuclear program was in: the hardest school that would let me earn my way through it, with a six-figure career waiting on the other side. I hated the mechanic's work and kept the engineer's brain: nuclear school is all systems, thousands of small things that have to hold for the whole thing to stay stable. That's still how I build today.
Dry dock duty on a nuclear aircraft carrier: a floating city taken apart and put back together around us. If I ever needed proof that big, complicated things only work when the small stuff is done right, the shipyard was it.

I left the Navy early after losing one of my closest friends to suicide. He was one of the good ones. The loss hit a hard reset on what I thought mattered, and mental health has been personal to me ever since.
No degree and rent to pay, so I learned to sell: B2B on both coasts. In Manhattan I watched a barter exchange run on made-up currency with runaway inflation. A lot of businesses were in, the idea was right, and the money was wrong. Crypto could fix it, and this was before the boom. I couldn't stop thinking about it.
Moved home to build that exchange. Bootstrapped it for a year; it needed two million dollars and a founder who knew what he was doing, and it had neither. The pivot became Uptrade Media, and as the work became web development it became Upforge: kept the up, kept the logo, but this is about building, not trading. Eight years and more than 150 projects later, it's a small team shipping work we put our names on.

Two builds running at once: expanding Upforge, and building Sonor, the platform that makes Upforge hard to compete with. Today Sonor runs our clients' sites; the product era comes next. And at home, four kids make sure none of it goes to my head.
